Part 1: Miranda’s Wedding Style – Makeup

Updated on 28th August 2024 at 2:23 am
It was almost a year ago that Miranda was married amongst a backdrop of her favorite flowers, in a custom designed Christian Dior gown and Stephen Jones headpiece. To complement her stunning dress, she opted for a “natural and classic”look for her make-up, hair and nails. We’ve spoken to her artists in a three-part series to share Miranda’s look to inspire all our brides to be.
Make-up artist Lisa Storey is an expert in her field, working with some of fashion’s most recognized faces. Her industry edge is about enhancing definition and shadow to show off natural features of the face. Lisa has kindly shared with us her tips for elegant and effortless beauty.

THE LOOK

We wanted a glamorous look yet in a very natural and classic way; an enhanced version of her. So we focused on creating a look that embraced her natural radiance and elegance. PRO TIP For me, it’s all about blurring lines and making edges soft. I like to enhance natural bone structure rather than adding stripy tones & lines. When it comes to adding color, contouring, defining, or highlighting—I focus on blending so the look shows off natural beauty.

HOW TO GET THE LOOK

I started with Suqqu Extra Rich Cream Foundation— it’s from Japan and the effect is so delicate it makes the skin look pure and radiant like baby skin. Then I focused on adding a natural flush to her skin with La Prairie Cellular Radiance Blush in Rose to the cheeks, on the eye area, and on the eye bone. Again, not defining the face, but adding a natural “flush.”

On her eyelids, I used Tom Ford Cream Eyeshadow in Golden Peach then enhanced the lash line and outer edges of lids with the Tom Ford Quad Palette in Cognac Sable, and Dior Iconic Mascara to follow. Her brows were groomed with Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Brow in Clear.

I lined her lips with Laura Mercier Baby Lips and then applied a combination of Charlotte Tilbury’s Amazing Grace and Walk of Shame. Finishing the look with Dior Lip Glow over the top for a natural but perfected lip to last.
