My Morning Self-Care Routine

My Morning Self-Care Routine

Updated on 16th April 2024 at 7:12 am

Each morning I start my routine by washing my face with my Foaming Cleanser. I love to use it as soon as I wake as it is super invigorating and really wakes up my complexion. I then apply my new Turmeric Brightening & Exfoliating Mask—I’m obsessed!

I like to use little circular motions as I apply it, so it exfoliates my skin while the mask begins to activate. I let it dry for 10-15 minutes while I pop to the kitchen to make my morning celery juice!

Celery is anti-inflammatory, improves kidney function, is alkalizing and full of electrolytes… so a great way to start the day!

Turmeric has so many health benefits both inside and out. It’s good to use on your skin but also great to take internally as it houses both antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Today I’m combining it with a ginger.

After my mask has dried and set, it’s time to wash it off. My skin always feels so soft and fresh! It’s like having an instant facial at home.

Next step is the Minty Mineral Hydration Mist it contains peppermint, palo santo, rosemary so it wakes me up and energizes my mood!

After my mist, I moisturize and add a few drops of the Noni Glow Face Oil. I massage the two together in my hands and apply to my face, neck and décolletage.

Next up is the Rose Quartz Heart Facial Sculptor to help diminish any morning puffiness. I use upward strokes, it feels great and gets the circulation going. Leaving me with a healthy, rosy glow.

Last but not least, I use my Noni Radiant Eye Oil. It has a special Rose Quartz crystal rollerball which is cooling and soothing the delicate skin around the eye. I like to pat the oil into under my eye area, which makes a great base for concealer so it goes on super smooth!

There you have it, my morning skin routine!

What about sunscreen? Given that you are all about great skin care, how come we never hear anything about applying sunscreen which is more important than just using creams, oils, mists etc…

My guess as to why she does not talk about it is because she does not yet have it in her line, also if your sunscreen is not all natural it itself can cause cancer. A lot of people tend to wear make up that has it in it. Also another reason she may not mention it in her morning routine.

    G’Morning Miranda,

I recently listened to the Beauty Closet (Goop) podcast that you were a guest on and got very excited to hear about your products. Thank you for outlining part of your morning ritual with us. I love to hear how others start their day. My question for you and your team is, I am a 61, year young Goddess and I have never been much into a lot of skincare however, the time has come for me to take a deeper look at this. I have very sensitive skin and other than a “clean” tinted moisturizer I do not use much on my face. Which of your products do you recommend for “women of a certain age?” As you know, our skin needs much different care than someone in their 30’s. Thank you for what you have created! I love the story about your Grandfather bringing your Grandmother “gems” and “stones.” So loving!

    Thank you,
    Warmly

      Hi Karen,

Great to hear you listen to Miranda on the Goop podcast. Our products are suitable for all ages. As we age our skin naturally loses its ability to retain water, so in most cases, hydrating products are crucial in replenishing moisture. Using deeply hydrating oils and moisturizers is usually beneficial but it can come down to what type of skin you have as everyone is unique.

Hello there, thanking Miranda for sharing her morning routine. ? I really love Kora it is such an amazing product.
I have a question about exfoliating in your morning routine, I thought that exfoliating in the morning makes skin very sensitive to the sun which was the reason that I have not done it.
And exfoliating every day, I did not think that was something we could do. Thank you Fiona. ☺️
