Women Empowering Women on International Women’s Day 2021

As a female-founded company, we acknowledge the value behind International Women’s Day and the contribution our daughters, sisters, and mothers make to the world. That’s why this year, we wanted to push the envelope and celebrate a little differently than we usually do.

Not only do we want to continue to shine a light on the inspiring female founders we know and love, but also support them by illuminating their wonderful businesses. We are SO excited to announce that we will be hosting 8 days of giveaways on @KORAOrganics Instagram channel – kicking off on March 1st, and leading up to International Women’s Day on March 8th.

Here are a few of the female Founders who are participating, and some words of wisdom that they shared with our very own Founder and CEO Miranda…

Elle Macpherson

Founder of WELLECO

https://www.welleco.com/

Miranda Kerr: What do you find most rewarding about supporting women’s beauty and wellness journeys and why?

Elle Macpherson: “It’s so rewarding to help other women recognise their real inner beauty and help them take ownership of it so they can benefit from it every day. Everybody has natural beauty, and at WelleCo we understand that and support it. That natural beauty comes from the inside; it’s soul deep, not just skin deep. When a person is well, that beauty is noticed by people around them because they are more confident, capable, and engaged in life.”

Kourtney Kardashian

Founder of POOSH

Miranda Kerr: What’s the best business advice you’ve ever received that other female entrepreneurs would benefit from hearing?

Kourtney Kardashian: “Never take no for an answer!” – Kris Jenner. Of course we do hear “no” sometimes, and I’m sure there’s even been, like, one or two times my mom has been told “no”…but what I take away from this advice is: if you believe in something enough to dedicate your energy and your time to it, don’t let someone saying “no” along the way affect you. I don’t think “no” is a final answer or something that should shut down your progress and enthusiasm. In my experience, hearing “no” has led me to get more creative and find an even better solution. When I’m told “no,” I try everything in my power to make it a yes, and if it just isn’t meant to be, I trust that it’s God’s plan and that I am being pushed to figure out something even better.”

Nikki & Sophie Sir the Label

Nikki Campbell & Sophie Coote

Co-Founders of SIR

Miranda Kerr: What advice do you have for best friends looking to get into a work partnership?

Nikki & Sophie: “Going into a business with your best friend should not be underestimated. It is a big decision as it does change the relationship. However, when it works, like it has in our case it is extremely powerful and rewarding. The journey is better shared.”

Valeria Lipovetsky Founder of Leia

Valeria Lipovetsky

Founder of LEIA

https://leiacollection.com/

Miranda Kerr: How do you use your line and your social media platforms to inspire and empower women?

Valeria Lipovetsky: “We curate a wardrobe for self-actualization. There is something beautiful about how a piece of jewelry or clothing can change our mood and how we feel. Amplifying women’s confidence is what we are about and whether it be through a social post, an Instagram live or a DM what we love most about our audience is that it’s a two-way conversation. The stories of confidence and women being them best selves is incredible. Sure, we are connecting over products, but the impact is much larger than what we wear, and that’s powerful.”

Rachel James

Rachel James

Founder of PEAR NOVA

https://www.pearnova.com/

Miranda Kerr: What is your brand mission and why are you passionate about it?

Rachel James: “Our mission is to celebrate all skin tones while creating healthy, luxury nail products inspired by fashion, travel, and female pioneers. When I started Pear Nova in 2012 my dream was to produce a product that sat in between fashion and beauty since I had a background in both. I didn’t see medium to dark skin tones front and center in the nail world, so I made sure our nail shades complimented those first.”

Anine Bing

Anine Bing

Founder of ANINE BING

https://www.aninebing.com/

Miranda Kerr: How do you use your designs to boost confidence in women?

Anine Bing: “My biggest dream is for my designs to empower women! I love when I put on a full ANINE BING look and I just feel so confident and polished, like the best version of myself. I hope that my designs bring that feeling to all women who wear my brand.”

Fiona Stewart

Fiona Stewart

Founder of SLIP

https://www.slip.com/

Miranda Kerr: What was your inspiration behind Slip?

Fiona Stewart: “Slip was born from a genuine need when I suffered skin issues in my late twenties. We are an authentic brand that has evolved over the last 16 years from a home office side hustle with a cot next to my desk into a global,  tight, fun, hard-working lovely team of people around the world I consider to not just be friends but family. I am passionate about creating a product and a brand that I needed when I had skin issues.”

Mandy Madden

Mandy Madden

Founder of PAGERIE

https://www.pagerie.com/

Miranda Kerr: What has kept you going during a difficult or challenge time?

Mandy Madden: “I’ve believed that if you go after the things you want with everything you’ve got, you’ll get there. As long as you don’t give up in the middle of it all. You have to push through those lulls and keep reminding yourself of your dreams!”

Keep inspiring and supporting each other!
