Organic Skincare Pregnancy, Nursing & Fertility

We’re asked daily if the KORA Organics range is safe to use during pregnancy, nursing, and while on the fertility journey.

We always say that Miranda safely used the KORA Organics range throughout her recent pregnancies and while nursing—yet as all bodies are different, we suggest seeking the professional advice of your doctor, just to be safe.

Our recommendation is to print the ingredient page/s of the product/s you are interested in and take them along with you to your next consultation.  That way your doctor or medical professional has all the information they need to give you the answer you seek.

As our Noni Glow Skinfood Supplement is ingested and contains prebiotics, we do suggest seeking the medical option of your doctor or paediatrician before use if you are pregnant or nursing.

Clean Code KORA Organics

Our Clean Code

Our intention is to inspire people to be the healthiest versions of themselves, inside and out—and this could not be more important than when on the pregnancy, nursing and fertility journey.

We use Certified Organic and Natural ingredients for one simple reason—because our skin is our largest organ and what you put on your skin soaks in.

We’re proudly free of parabens, pesticides, GMOs, sulphates, synthetic fragrances, and all chemicals in general.

We are the highest and strictest certification possible, to be Certified Organic by ECOCERT & Cosmos, which brings peace of mind for many customers that are expecting.

And we like to say: “We test on Miranda—not on animals!”

Our Pregancy Essentials

When it comes to all things stretch marks, we suggest consistent care to nurture your skin as you grow.

Miranda curated the Noni Glow Body Essentials to provide intense hydration while glowing all over. This trio was Miranda’s morning and night “skin-savior” routine for helping to prevent stretch marks while she was pregnant.

“This powerful trio is my go-to skincare essentials when I am pregnant. They keep my skin hydrated & smooth, and help prevent me from getting stretch marks.” – Miranda

Our Products On Young Skin

Miranda has used KORA Organics on her children since they were babies, loving our oils and balms to nurture and keep their skin soft (and even carrying a balm and an oil in her bag for this reason.)

While we do not have age limits on our products, we again suggest that you perform a patch test and seek a professional medical opinion before using the range on children and babies. This is due to the sensitive nature of infant skin, and younger skin.

As we are certified organic and deeply nourishingyour little ones are likely to love KORA Organics!

We wanted to share you with the wellness avenues that Simone Laubscher—our contributing nutritionist and naturopath—advises for those on the fertility journey.

Nutrition

Think: anti-inflammatory food. I advise eating a pesca-vegan diet and eliminating gluten, red meat, sugar and trans fats. I suggest also consuming good fats to balance hormones and blood sugar levels such as avocado, olives, nuts, seeds, olive oil, coconut oil and nut oils; avoiding trans fats from margarine and vegetable cooking oils.

My suggestions are to drink at least 2L water per day—with fresh lemon, ginger & mint. Stick to a maximum of one coffee a day; reduce alcohol to 1-2 glasses or avoid entirely; and opt for one meat-free meal per week.

Sleep

Low quality or limited sleep regularly is linked to poor immune function. It can reduce the body’s ability to heal overnight, and lead to excessive stress—which is a real enemy of fertility and optimum health.

So how much is enough? We are all different, but the classic eight hours is a great start. Ultimately you need to wake up feeling refreshed, and you need to work out for you what is your optimum, but most need 6 to 10 hours a night to feel well.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness is a game-changer when it comes to fertility. I suggest starting each day with prayer, mediation, gratitude, and a mindfulness routine that is personal to you. Try and retrain your nervous system out of fight or flight, and into healing and restoration mode.

Movement

Regular movement and exercise are not only great for your heart but for hormonal balance and fertility support. Our skeletal and muscular systems are also pivotal to our health. Like the scaffolding of a house, they need to be built on rock, and not sand, to weather the storm of life. Your posture and skeletal systems also have to allow enough space for your organs to work effectively, thus supporting your overall health and fertility.

Many of my clients see great results from using physiotherapy, osteopathy, acupuncture, massage and reflexology. All of these therapies clear pathways to increase circulation and blood flow to deliver optimum nutrition to your cells, remove toxins, and bring about overall healing and boost fertility.

Environment

Most don’t think about this, but your environmental toxic load plays a huge role in your fertility. I recommend that you reduce your toxic load by consciously choosing:

  • Organic, aluminium free deodorant (salt rock is the best)
  • Organic hygiene products and skincare. I suggest KORA Organics
  • Stainless Steel, ceramic or glass cookware
  • Organic clothes wash
  • Organic household cleaning products
  • Saunas to detox out heavy metals and toxins. Followed by a cold shower post 20–30-minute treatment to support lymphatic drainage. Ensure you use organic body wash to ensure you don’t reabsorb toxins released from the sauna
  • Grounding is also vital to keep your electrical circuits in flow, walking barefoot on the grass or sand is best!
