We are committed to our pact of being Climate Neutral Certified, and are partnered with Climate Neutral, a non-profit organization that is helping us work toward carbon neutrality.

They measure and offset our carbon footprint each year, and help us to reduce future emissions.

We also strive to create products, and packaging, that are environmentally friendly, sustainable and recyclable—and that adhere to the strict certification requirements that surround organic products as set out by COSMOS and Ecocert.

All new products (from 2021) use only recycled, recyclable, or biodegradable materials in both primary and secondary packaging.

Where our old cartons were made of bleached virgin paper with a hot foil stamp. They are now made of FSC certified, clay-coated paper from 100% recycled fiber—of which at least 85% is PCR (post-consumer recycled) material. They are also recyclable!

As a team we believe that using PCR is one part of the solution in creating circular economy—by turning waste into repurposed plastic.

Utilizing PCR helps to save on energy, fossil fuels, water, global warming potential, and our overall carbon footprint; creating less environmental burden. This is because we are re-purposing existing plastic that would likely end up at landfills, rather than consuming more energy and resources to product virgin plastics.

We’re also incorporating more refillable options into our range, like the Turmeric Glow Moisturizer, Active Algae Lightweight Moisturizer and Berry Bright Vitamin C Eye Creamall which have refillable pods.

“I believe that we all have a part to play in helping to take care of our planet, and I am committed to providing products that are not only healthy and clean, but also kind to the environment. This philosophy is woven into everything we do—from the ingredients we use, to the way we manufacture and package our products.”

We hope this helps to understand our active stance on sustainability.

With love,

KORA Organics
