A Lifestyle Guide to Live Sustainably

A Lifestyle Guide to Live Sustainably

Updated on 19th December 2023 at 7:15 pm

We believe nourishing the planet is simply about making conscious choices to preserve our environment rather than compromising it.

If you are wanting to begin a more earth-friendly lifestyle—we’ve penned a few ways our team take action to reduce their environmental footprint.

Refillable Options

We’re proud to only use refillable, recycled, recyclable, and biodegradable materials in our primary and secondary packaging for all new KORA Organics products.

Our team embrace these eco-friendly alternatives for every day use.

  • Fabric shopping totes
  • Glass or metal drinking straws
  • Bamboo toothbrushes
  • Insulated keep cups
  • Steel or glass lunchboxes
  • Metal or bamboo travel cutlery
  • Glass food storage jars
  • Reusing jars for smoothies & salads.

Digital Holiday Cards

This holiday season we are opting for digital cards, or e-cards, to minimize paper while staying ahead of the game in terms of technology.

We love the array of artistic and clever designs that are available and take a moment to send, while saving paper and eco-miles to send a traditional card.

Fabric Over Paper

Swap paper for fabric serviettes for upcoming holiday gatherings; we think they’re both softer on the skin, and more chic to look at.

We suggest soaking them in bicarbonate of soda post-celebration to clean away messy wine and food stains. As well as line-drying in the sun to also minimize stains.

The same applies to post-celebration make-up removing wipes. We love our Reusable Cotton Rounds for taking off our make-up as we wind down after a make-up-worthy event.

Eco Styling

To avoid fly-away plastics—such as balloons—landing in the sea. We suggest styling upcoming events with fibres, flowers and foliage from the garden or forest.

Natural fibres like cotton, jute and linen are gentler on the skin, and we feel, on the eye too. We also love using our creative minds to make one-of-a-kind centrepieces.

Grow Your Own

Have you thought about growing your own herbs and vegetables? We love this as a way to minimize store-bought food packaging.

If you’re not convinced of your gardening skills, you may wish to join a communal garden, and learn from fellow gardeners. We also love this as a way to connect with the community.

Natural Energy

Get your daily steps in this season by walking where you need to go, or by cycling there too. Some of our team like to practice mindfulness as we walk, to get the most out of the journey.

Social carpools offer a great way to get from A-B while saving on emissions. They also double a way to meet more like-minded people.

Reduce, Reuse & Recycle

We like to come back to the golden rule of three “Rs”—reduce, reuse & recycle.

  1. Reduce: be conscious before making a purchase.
  2. Reuse: ask yourself how the item can be repurposed.
  3. Recycle: limit waste as much waste as possible going to landfill.

We believe that if we all do our bit, we can make a difference—and we’re excited to nourish our planet, and ourselves, this holiday season.
