My Morning Beauty Routine

My Morning Beauty Routine

My Morning Beauty Routine I’m often asked how I incorporate my favourite KORA Organics products into my morning beauty routine. I usually have very little time in the mornings, especially with a toddler, so with these simple skin and beauty steps I can get out the door in 15 minutes. Skincare isn’t just about the products you apply, so I have also shared some other steps that my skin really benefits from, and I recommend you try them too. On rising – Warm water with lemon I drink a glass of warm water with the juice of half an organic lemon each morning. Warm lemon water in the morning helps kick start the digestion process for the rest of the day. It’s also a morning ritual that cleanses the system, boosts your immune system and balances pH levels because lemons are very alkalizing. They are also abundant in Vitamin C, which promotes healing and health. Pre shower – Dry body brushing Dry body brushing is an integral part of my daily regime. It’s a great way to get the circulation going, remove dead skin cells, aid lymphatic drainage, detoxify your system and keep your skin smooth all over. I start with my feet and legs and work my way up in quick gentle strokes… it needn’t be too time consuming and just takes a few minutes before jumping into the shower. Shower – KORA Organics Foaming Cleanser + Essential Body Wash I multitask in the shower and cleanse both my face and body. I like to use KORA Organics Foaming Cleanser for my face – it’s a gentle, soap free, foaming cleanser formulated to gently cleanse the skin of impurities. The Aloe Vera, Green Tea and Sandalwood protect the skin from free radical damage while leaving the skin feeling fresh, clean and never dry or taut. I then apply a small amount of KORA Organics Essential Body Wash to a sponge and cleanse all over, it’s an uplifting aromatic blend of organically sourced essential oils such as Ylang Ylang, Sandalwood and Rose – so it’s the perfect uplifting sensory start to the day! Post shower – Mist and moisturise: KORA Organics Citrus Mist, Hydrating Day & Night Cream and KORA Organics Enriched Body Lotion Out of the shower I towel dry and mist my face with two to three pumps of KORA Organics Energising Citrus Mist – a refreshing face mist containing Bergamot, Orange, Mandarin, Aloe Vera, Sandalwood and Noni Extract… it balances, maintains suppleness and prepares your skin for moisturiser. Whilst the mist is working its magic, I take a minute to apply KORA Organics Enriched Body Lotion… if you’re time poor or in a rush, this lotion has such an amazing natural scent you don’t need to apply fragrance. This is one of my all time favourite products! I then apply KORA Organics Hydrating Day & Night Cream to my face, neck and décolletage areas – it’s a hydrating daily moisturiser with Rose, Natural Omega 6 Fatty Acids, Lavender, Rose Hip and Mandarin Oil. Tip: to maintain my skin’s hydration throughout the day I keep a mist in my handbag and gently spritz throughout the day when required to freshen up… there are three to choose from; Balancing Rose, Calming Lavender and Energising Citrus. Hair & Make up Hair I wash my hair in the evening so it can dry naturally overnight, then all I have to do in the morning is style it. At the moment I prefer a low braid or a high topknot, as they both require little time and effort but still look feminine and polished. Tip: I also use a hairbrush with a natural bristle as it promotes shine and is gentle on the scalp. Makeup I apply KORA Organics Tinted Day Cream as a healthy alternative to foundation. It’s quick and easy to apply and has the perfect amount of coverage… it leaves my complexion radiant with an even tone. Tip: use your fingers to apply, as the warmth will help the formulation melt into your skin for a flawless finish. I like to define my lashes and groom my eyebrows because the eyes really frame the face. I apply two to three coats of mascara. To finish off my look I apply lip balm if I want a more natural look, or a tint or lipstick in a shade of red if I want to make more of a statement – the red also brightens my complexion instantly. If I need a little more coverage I sparingly use RMS concealer where required. Tip: to really open up your eyes, use an eyelash curler before you apply your mascara. Out the door with a Green juice Green cold pressed juices are packed with live, whole ingredients so it’s an instant health hit to the blood stream. The chlorophyll contained in cold pressed green juices can help keep your blood healthy and are very oxygenating. Green juices are high in vitamins and minerals making them great contributors to clear skin and bright eyes. I’d love to hear what you think and if you have any beauty secrets or tips to share with me. Much love, Miranda xxx

    Hi Miranda,

don´t you drink Noni Juice in the morning any more? I use it since two years. I heard you talking about it in an interview and included it into my daily routine.

    xoxo Sarah
