Each morning I begin the day with uplifting daily rituals so I can prepare, both mentally and physically for the day ahead. For me, this is a really important time, because I believe when you take a little time for yourself, you can give back so much more to your family, work and friends.
I wake up between 5.00 and 5.30am every morning, which allows me some quiet time to set my intentions for the day, get a quick workout in and do my morning self care routine before the kids wake up around 7am.
Being a mother of three, wife and business owner, there is never a dull moment so I try my best to follow this routine to start the day calm and collected and so I can give my best in all that I do.
Lemon Squeeze
First thing when I wake up, I squeeze half a fresh lemon into thirty two ounces of room temperature water. It’s great to detoxify the liver, as well as add a boost of Vitamin C to your day.
Work Out
I love starting my day with a work out. Recently I have been trying to work out six days a week depending on kids schedules – either pilates, yoga or Tracy Anderson Method.
I also love going for walks with my boys, we often go for a long walkup the canyons in the morning after they wake and have breakfast. It’s a great way to start the day with fresh air and morning light. Getting my 10,000 steps per day in addition to my workout has been a fun and healthy challenge to have.
There are so many benefits to working out, from feeling fit and strong, improving memory and brain function, oxygenating blood and increasing circulation to endorphin release and increasing better quality sleep.
Meditation / Affirmations
After my workout, I pick a positive affirmation to start my day. I then try to find ways to incorporate this affirmation throughout my day, by thought or by action.
When I have time, I then meditate for 10 – 15 minutes to help me to set my intention for the day, so I start with a positive and clear mindset. I love to do many types of meditation, including working with mantras. I find that meditation is an incredible tool to help me form a deeper connection with myself and others.
At the start and end of my meditation, I like to take three deep belly breaths and mist my face with the Minty Mineral Hydrating Mist. I love the uplifting aromatherapy benefits of Peppermint and the grounding properties of Palo Santo, combined they help me to clear and calm my mind.

Dry Body Brush
I like to dry body brush all over with the Aromatherapy Associates’ Body Brush, before I take a shower.
Incorporating dry body brushing into your morning care ritual encourages the renewal of fresh, healthy skin, improves circulation and skin tone, promotes lymphatic drainage to help eliminate toxins, and enhances the application of lotion and oils. This is something that I really believe makes a difference to my overall wellness and also my skin tone and texture. I highly recommend you incorporate dry body brushing into your morning routine if you haven’t already!

Skin Care
I am pretty consistent with my skincare routine. Each morning in the shower I use our Milky Mushroom Gentle Cleansing Oil followed by the Turmeric Brightening & Exfoliating Mask, I use this as an exfoliating scrub nearly every morning, and sometimes I leave it on for 5 minutes as a mini-mask while I’m still in the shower.
I wash my body with the Essential Body Wash – it’s very gentle so doesn’t dry my skin out. When I get out of the shower, I use the Minty Mineral Hydration Mist, the peppermint aromatherapy is super invigorating and uplifting so it’s perfect in the mornings! I follow this with the Noni Bright Vitamin C Serum – it contains a 12% Vitamin C Super Complex that helps with pigmentation & fine lines. I then finish off with our new Turmeric Glow Moisturizer all over my face, neck and décolletage, it really keeps my skin glowing all day. I then apply the Noni Radiant Eye Oil and Noni Glow Face Oil as needed for a little boost of nourishment—it’s great for all skin types, especially sensitive skin, and even oily skin. Sometimes when I feel a bit puffy I will give myself a gua sha massage with my Rose Quartz Heart Facial Sculptor. It helps stimulate circulation, reduce puffiness and naturally lift and sculpt my face.
Celery Juice
I drink 32 ounces of cold pressed celery juice on an empty stomach every morning, which is about one litre. I buy organic celery bunches, rinse it really well and then put it through my cold pressed juicer.
It’s been really transformational for my health and wellbeing. It has anti-inflammatory properties, is alkalising, rich in minerals and helps kidney function. I really love it

Setting aside time to take care of yourself every day is fundamental to your overall health and wellbeing. If you can do at least one thing for yourself each morning, I truly believe it helps set the tone for the day.
Much love,

Such a lovely post! Thank you. I love my lemon in the AM too.
I just want to share that the Turmeric Glow Moisturizer, the Radiant Eye Oil and the Turmeric Exfoliating Mask are the BEST skincare products I have ever used. I have been using preventative skincare since my very early 20’s, using various high end brands. I’m older now but I have great skin due to healthy lifestyle, no sun, and using skincare products. I cannot say enough about these products from Kora. They work!! I’m a customer for life.
Thank you Miranda!
Thank you for sharing your morning ritual
