Miranda’s Morning Routine

Miranda’s Morning Routine

Updated on 7th May 2022 at 3:52 am

Being a mother, wife and business owner, life can be pretty busy at the best of times. Especially with three sons, no two days are ever the same in our household!

At this current time, while we are all adapting to self-isolation and social distancing, I am trying to maintain my usual early morning routine to start the day with a sense of balance and normalcy.  My days have been so busy taking care of the house, kids, breastfeeding, cooking, home-schooling and trying to run a business on top of it all – trying to incorporate this morning routine really helps.

I generally try to do the below…

Wake Up

Both Evan and I like to wake up around 5:30am. This gives me a chance to do my morning meditation while he is in the shower and the kids are still asleep.

I try to meditate for 10 – 15 minutes to help me to set my intention for the day, so I start with a positive & clear mindset.

Morning Skincare Routine

Before I shower, I dry body brush all over with the Aromatherapy Associates’ Body Brush, it’s a great way to get the circulation going and remove dead skin cells.

In the shower, I use the Foaming Cleanser followed by the Turmeric Brightening & Exfoliating 2 in 1 Mask – I use this as a exfoliating scrub nearly every morning, and sometimes I leave it on for 5 minutes as a mini-mask while I turn off the shower and shave my legs or put a treatment in my hair.  The peppermint aromatherapy is super invigorating and uplifting so it’s perfect in the mornings!  I wash my body with the Essential Body Wash – it’s very gentle so doesn’t dry my skin out.

When I get out of the shower, I use the Energizing Citrus Mist, followed by the Noni Bright Vitamin C Serum – it contains a 12% Vitamin C Super Complex that helps with pigmentation & fine lines. I then apply the Noni Radiant Eye Oil and Hydrating Moisturizer mixed with a few drops of Noni Glow Face Oil and apply over my face, neck and décolletage.

If I have time, I also like to give myself a 5 minute gua sha facial massage with my Rose Quartz Heart Facial Sculptor and Noni Glow Face Oil.  I massage my face and neck in upward strokes – it helps lift and de-puff my face.

I then mix a combination of the Noni Glow Body Oil with the Enriched Body Lotion and apply all over.

Getting Ready

My go-to is generally jeans, a simple t-shirt and white trainers. At the moment though, while we are staying in, I’ve been wearing cozy clothing that I can easily feed Myles in and comfortably run around with Hart and Flynn.

I haven’t been wearing much makeup while at home these days, but when I do, I put two drops of my Noni Glow Face Oil into the RMS Beauty Uncover concealer pot (in color 22) and mix with a make-up brush, then apply all over my face. This allows you to build more coverage where you need it and leaves the skin looking clear and dewy.

Then I apply my KORA Organics Rose Quartz Luminizer on the top of my brow and cheekbones – it contains finely crushed Rose Quartz crystal to create a beautiful highlight.  I also apply my Noni Lip Tint on my lips, cheeks and sometimes even eyelids for a pop of color.

Breakfast

When the kids wake up around 6.30/7am I go in and give them a kiss good morning, get them changed and dressed for the day and then we all go downstairs to have breakfast together.

I like to start the day with cold pressed celery juice. I drink a glass on an empty stomach at least 20 minutes before I eat breakfast.  Celery is amazing as it’s a powerful anti-inflammatory, supports kidney function, is alkalizing and also full of electrolytes.  I feel it really helps my digestion, brain-fog and energy levels.

I then make a Medical Medium Heavy Metal Detox Smoothie, which contains blueberries, spirulina, barley grass, orange juice, bananas, etc. If I’m still hungry after that, I’ll make some home-made oatmeal or avocado on gluten free toast.

School, Work and Play

At the moment the entire family is working & schooling from home so our daily schedule is a bit different now.  Flynn has been home-schooling via video conference while I try to keep Hart & Myles entertained.  We’ve been reading books, drawing, swinging on our swings in the backyard, cooking together and video chatting with family & friends on Snapchat (the kids love all the fun filters!).  In between, I’m on works emails & text all day and do conference calls during Hart & Myles nap times so I can spend quality time with them when they’re awake. Being a mother is my first priority.

I am trying to stay positive during this time and am grateful for extra time at home with my family. I’m also grateful for all of those working around the clock to keep us all safe and to keep the world running as we do our part and stay home.  I’m hopeful this will make us all appreciate each other and our world even more.

Stay safe. Much love and light to you all,
💖 Miranda xxx

I am loving my vitamin c serum. Just bought the turmeric mask/scrub for the first time last night. I was so excited to use it after such amazing reviews. I wasn’t disappointed. My skin is glowing after just one use.

I appreciate that you are filling us with recent updates! Unlike some other beauty websites where all they want is to sell products, I find that this website is more ‘real’ in that sense because of your personal input which is up to date. Keep it up!

I love reading about Miranda’s routine and how she juggles her beauty regime with being a working mum! I have been using Kora for over five years now and have loved introducing more products into my regime. A friend gave me the products as a gift when I was going through cancer treatment and I haven’t looked back. It was a wonderful was for me to nurture myself during that difficult time.

When does Miranda do the five minute gua sha massage with noni glow oil? Before or after the noni glow oil mixed in moisturiser step? Thanks so much x
