In a world where wellness is often conflated with physical health, Parizad is a leader in holistic well-being, advocating for the power of a healthy mindset and Manifestation. Her journey began in the diverse cultural tapestry of Mumbai, India, and was influenced by Hindu, Zoroastrian, and Muslim traditions, which resonated with the ancient Zoroastrian principle of “Good Thoughts, Good Words, Good Deeds.” Parizad’s belief in the transformative power of an abundance mindset, a legacy she inherited early in life, has guided her personal and professional endeavors. This philosophy shaped her approach to wellness and led her to pen two books, with a promise of more to come.
In an exclusive interview, Parizad delves deep into the essence of true wellness, her culturally rich approach to mental and physical well-being, and the indispensable role of certified organic products in her daily routine. She also shares profound insights on starting a journey toward wellness, especially in Manifestation, emphasizing the significance of harmony and gratitude in achieving one’s desires.
Let’s start with our #1 question for all KORA Konnections interviewees: are specific organic products or brands indispensable to your wellness routine?
I am a huge fan of the core ingredients that KORA uses in their products. I love KORA’s Turmeric Glow Foaming Cleanser and Turmeric Brightening & Exfoliating Mask. In India, Turmeric face packs and scrubs are used on brides before their big day to give them that golden glow and also protect their skin. I feel so pampered using these two products! It’s like receiving a mini facial every morning.
What initially drew you to living a life centered around your wellness practices?
I have the great good fortune of being born into a family that follows and practices the Laws of Manifestation. I was taught early on that Manifesting my Life of Greatness was in my hands. My father, a devout man, taught me to believe that God (the Universal energy) was on my side and that I could become, get, learn, and achieve anything I set my mind to–I just had to decide what I wanted and then go after it! He repeated this belief to me over and over again. His belief gave me my belief!
How our mindset and belief systems affect our reality has been a subject that has always intrigued me. I have been an ardent student of the Laws of Manifestation all my life to learn how to make friends with my mind. During this personal study, I came across the book: The Success Principles by Jack Canfield. When I first read his book, I recognized many of these principles as part of my spiritual upbringing. Principles such as “Believe it’s Possible,” “See what you want, Get what you see,” and “Experience your Fear and take action anyways.”
Over the years, I have shared these principles informally with many friends and in my business practice as a financial consultant, and each time I knew that I was giving them a great gift. It gave me immense joy and a sense of purpose, and I decided that I would like my life’s work to be sharing these success principles and the abundance mindset principles my father gave me with others. So I got certified as a mindset coach.
I started offering online abundance mindset workshops in early 2020 when the pandemic had just started, and my participants’ encouragement inspired me to write my first book. I am proud to teach these abundance mindset principles in The Study at Sage + Sound in New York.
So, what exactly is Manifestation?
The biggest ‘aha’ moment for most people is realizing they are sabotaging their success by focusing on what they want. ‘The Magic’ happens when you understand that you don’t Manifest what you ‘want.’ You Manifest what you are in harmony with. The energy you are emotionally involved with is what you send out into the universe, and the universe is constantly finding a matching result for you. Your current results match what you have been obsessively thinking about, focusing on, and having deep feelings about.
When we say or think ‘I want XYZ,’ we are energetically sending out the message of lack, of ‘not having’ that XYZ in our life. Only when you focus with conviction on ‘having’ when you get onto the vibration of ‘having’ that you invite that experience into your reality. That’s when you begin your journey in Manifesting abundance in all areas of your life.
For example, if you want to Manifest love in your life, instead of focusing on the fact that you may not have it now, visualize what a loving relationship would look and feel like. Focus on how you would act and present yourself in the world if your love life were fulfilled and joyous if you enjoyed empowering, secure, and strong relationships. Make a list of all the qualities you would like in your ideal mate, and then work on becoming someone like that yourself. Become the person you want to attract and you will see how the universe brings you people who are a match to who you are!
How can someone incorporate Manifestation into their daily life?
- Don’t make New Year’s Resolutions! Instead, set quarterly goals that are specific and measurable. Goals are dreams with a deadline!
- Write down your goals! The sheer act of writing down your goals and action steps and checking them off as you achieve them will give you the momentum you need.
- Share your goals with people you trust! Sharing goals makes them more real for you and allows people to help you achieve them.
- Write affirmations for each of your goals and repeat them every day. (An affirmation is a positive statement that describes your goals as already achieved). Start with “I am…”
- Create a vision board that visually represents all your goals as achieved, and spend time living inside that vision every day.
Can you walk us through a typical day in your life, highlighting any specific wellness practices you incorporate?
When I wake up in the morning, I don’t put my feet on the ground until I have created a high-quality feeling of gratitude for waking up and living another day – one that has never before come and will never come again. As I prepare for my day, I spend some time with my vision board, and once again, I offer gratitude for all I have and all that is on its way to me. I follow that with a simple 15-minute meditation practice. Before I start my work day, I spend a few minutes writing out what I want to achieve that day and scheduling it in my calendar. Throughout the day, I enjoy checking off these to-dos.
What advice would you give someone just starting on their journey towards wellness when it comes specifically to Manifestation?
Remember that you don’t get what you want. You get what you are in harmony with. You get what you believe you will have. The easiest way to get in harmony with what you want is to offer gratitude. Offer gratitude in advance. My favorite affirmation for this is: I am so grateful for all I have and all that is on its way to me!
