Most of us will have a cleansing product in our skin care collection, but do you know why it is so Important?
On a daily basis our skin is exposed to hundreds of environmental factors, pollution, dirt, grease, grime and many other unwanted debris.
If they are not removed it can cause your skin to be covered in bacteria, viruses and old dead skin cells; resulting in dull looking skin and contribute to problematic acne.
Skin cleansers remove all these unwanted factors. It is important to cleanse your skin every night, and also in the morning too, to remove any toxins your skin eliminates during the night.
Cleansing is the first step of all skin care routines and is beneficial in many ways, so it needs to be performed thoroughly to prevent a build-up of makeup, sweat particles and the external aggressors that clog your pores.
Regular facial cleansing is also important in helping the skin maintain a proper level of moisture and managing pH levels.
Whether you have a cream, gel or foaming cleanser, a double cleanse is a must.
Double Cleanse
The first cleanse will remove makeup and debris that act as a barrier; the second will work deeper into the layer of the skin removing pore bacteria.
60 Seconds Each Cleanse
A quick wash and go is not enough. Spend 60 seconds on each cleanse before rinsing off. Making sure to cover all areas of your face by working the cleanser into your skin, using circular motions with your fingertips.
Use Warm Water
Lukewarm water is the ideal temperature for everyday cleansing. It ensures your cleanser gets the right amount of foaming to balance your natural oils.
USE A Warm Washcloth
Take time to remove the product properly, using a warm washcloth will help lift the product fully from the skin.
Follow Your Full Skincare Routine
Cleaning out your pores will prepare your skin for absorption of the rest of your skincare products. Allowing them to work at their full potential and deliver the nutrients to the lower layers of your skin, resulting in a healthy, glowing complexion.
